Eliet petrol shredder, the Major Pro, is driven by an extremely powerful 9.0hp engine and delivers an incredible 40,000 chops per-minute, so it’s suitable for the most demanding domestic waste-processing applications.
The engine itself is a Honda GX270, a precision-engineered overhead-valve type unit that you’ll find cheap to run, quiet in operation and environmentally-sound. A cast-iron cylinder-sleeve and a dual-element air-filter combine to maximise engine-life, while an automatic decompression mechanism greatly lessens resistance in the starter-cord for almost effort-free pull-starts.
The Eliet Major Pro Petrol Shredder utilises Eliet’s unique and widely acclaimed Chopping Principle, whereby a series of 20 hardened-steel shredder-blades work to turn all manner of kitchen and garden-waste (including branches up to 55mm-diameter) into a mulch that you can compost or spread around flowerbeds to help retain moisture.
Power is transmitted to the cutting-gear through a heavy-duty belt-drive, which not only ensures optimum torque-transfer, but also allows any sudden overload shock to be absorbed, in turn sparing the engine and crankshaft from damage.
Thanks to its extra-large shredding surface and expansive hopper opening, the Eliet Major Pro offers and exceptionally fast throughput rate, and is even capable of taking multiple branches simultaneously.
Its all-steel construction and epoxy-paint finish mean it’s well-equipped to cope with any knocks or scrapes it might well encounter during its working-life, while its wide-profile pneumatic tyres confer stability during use and make it easy to move to-and-from the storage area.
